East Coast Divers is a fantastic dive shop. I did my certification through them on the flex schedule. You can do the classes at your own pace and they have a very accomodating course schedule. Nick was the instructor for most of my sessions and he was really great. His enthusiasm for the sport is contagious and he was incredibly knowledgeable, patient and fun. An added bonus to their program is that you can repeat any of the sessions as many times as you'd like until you feel comfortable. As I spread out my certification process, this came in handy for me. I also went on an ECD led group trip to Bonaire last month. I was a little nervous about going solo and being an inexperienced diver but the trip was so fun and the staff at ECD made me feel completely comfortable both in and out of the water. It was a really great experience and I will definitely do another trip with them in the future.

East Coast Divers is fabulous! I had not dove in 16 years and needed to freshen up my skills so was recertified with them. I was very impressed with their professionalism, flexibility with classes, and especially their commitment to safety. All the instructors are great. I did my open water dives with Nick, and he was excellent in teaching and re-enforcing good habits early on in training in order to make you a safe diver for life. I'm always greated by friendly and enthusiast staff who remember my name when I walk in the store. Staff is very knowledgable about equipment and will spend as much time as needed answering questions and making recommendations as to what specifically would be best for you. They also put together great group dive vacations several times a year. I went to Bonaire solo and had a fabulous time with a great group of new dive buddies. ECD is a great resource for the Boston diving community and I have already recommended them to several friends.

East Coast Divers is awesome! My friends and I hit a few different places in the area to look into taking certification classes, and as soon as we checked out ECD we were sold. We did do a bit more research first and asked around and ECD came up from 2 out of the 3 people we asked around here. The instructors are all great, and take their time to make sure that you are comfortable and learning before moving on to the next step. I would definitely recommend East Coast Divers to anyone looking to get certified. We did the Flex schedule and it went really smooth, I would recommend that. Their shop is also run smoothly with knowledgeable staff that is always helpful. Two thumbs up!!
