Scuba Rangers is an excellent opportunity to kids to get off their phones and develop an interest in the underwater world. While they won’t be able to get into the ocean until they are old enough to take the Junior Open Water Course, the Scuba Rangers Course can start to develop a passion that could turn into a lifelong hobby, or even more!
Before you can start class you’ll need to fill out some paperwork. Most of this can be done ahead of time but some of it will have to be done in the shop. The only piece that MUST be completed at the shop is a folder provided by SSI because we keep it in-shop for our records. You can do this before class – just remember to show up 30 minutes early if you haven’t filled it out yet!
There are a couple of forms that can be done ahead of time, most importantly is the medical release form. Go through the form now and check to see if you need to answer “YES” to any of the questions. If so no big deal – you’ll just need to get a doctors’ sign-off before we can let you in the pool. The doctors’ note is in the same file as the medical – Just scroll down to the next page. Remember “IF” you answer “YES” to anything in the medical it is NECESSARY to get a doctors’ note BEFORE getting in the pool.
Below to you can find an up to date schedule with all of our available Scuba Ranger sessions. Just remember you need to sign up at LEAST two days in ADVANCE. You can schedule in-person, over the phone or via email.
Due to the specialization of our instructors for this class, private SCUBA ranger courses are typically not available. If you’re interested in joining a course or putting together a special SCUBA rangers event, please don’t hesitate to contact our training director Kim.
