Project Description

We are Boston’s premier diving education center for Nitrox and other scuba lessons in Massachusetts and New England!

About The Course:

Nitrox is a mix of Oxygen and Nitrogen that is different than what is in air. Typically the difference is that there is more Oxygen in the Nitrox that divers use resulting in less Nitrogen. As certified divers know, Nitrogen is responsible for decompression sickness and limiting the amount in the gas we breath can result in SIGNIFICANTLY more time underwater for each dive.

Our Nitrox Course can be completed in one evening and prepares you for any scenario. Nitrox diving is growing in popularity among recreational divers. Come and learn why so many divers are changing their breathing mixtures even for dives to 40 ft. Take your Nitrox course from the first store to teach Nitrox in Massachusetts.

Because this course is classroom only, it is not compulsory to get a medical filled out.

Before Class you will also have to complete some online training. The online training is going to be done through SSI on their website. Within 36 hours of filling out the pre-class form, you should receive a log-in and be registered for the Nitrox online training. If you are not, please don’t hesitate to call or email the shop.

Here is the schedule for our Basic Nitrox course. This course is often run in conjunction with the decompression and dive planning workshop. If you’re interested in taking both make sure you sign up for both!

The Class will take place at the Shop in Brookline (213 Boylston Street) and the open water session will be dependent on weather. A couple of the popular ones can be found in the directions page.
