Learn to laugh at the cold and turn your summer and winter diving into an enjoyable year round activity by Drysuit Diving. If you enjoy diving but find the water just too cold, a drysuit may be just the thing for you. Many people find that Drysuit diving all year long helps them really enjoy New England underwater. This course is designed for new or experienced divers who want to find out about the joy of staying warm and dry while taking the plunge in our own back yard. The Drysuit Diving Course requires 2 dives. These can be completed as a shore dive or boat dive depending on the student requirements and weather conditions. Sign up today.
The course cost's $300 plus rental equipment as needed ($75.00 for drysuit package plus scuba gear if needed). Before buying check out the schedule tab to find out if you can make any of the upcoming courses. The Drysuit course consists of a classroom session, a pool session and a day of open water diving. You can borrow our drysuit for the pool, but you'll have to either own or rent one for the open water dives.
Once you have paid make sure you complete the online paperwork - including the Pre-Class form. Once you've paid and finished the paperwork get in contact via email, phone call or in person and make sure to sign up for the next scheduled course!
Remember, if you get stumped or if you have questions that aren't answered by the website you can always call (617) 277-2216 or shoot us an email at Brookline@ecdivers.com and we'll do our best to help!
The most important form to complete before class is the medical. Go through the medical now and check to see if you need to answer "YES" to any of the questions. If so no big deal - you'll just need to get a doctors' sign-off before we can let you in the pool. The doctors' note is in the same file as the medical - Just scroll down to the next page. Remember IF you answer "YES" to anything in the medical it is COMPULSORY to get a doctors' note BEFORE getting in the pool.
If you want you can take the Dry suit course as a private! The cost schedule is outlined below:
1 person $400 per person - $400 total
2 People $360 per person - $720 total
3 People $360 per person | $1080 total
4 People $360 per person| $1440 total
Much of the process is the same as normal classes, you'll pay in advance and fill out much of the same paperwork. We have made a slightly modified form which you can find below. You'll be emailed the password for this form as soon as you purchase the class!
You'll be doing all of your scheduling through Kim. She will be in contact as soon as you sign up for class to help schedule a session. If you have any questions before signing up feel free to send Kim an email directly at Kim@ecdivers.com
While we do not require our students to own their own drysuits (we have plenty for rental) we do require that all of our students own their own mask, fins, and snorkel for the course.
*Certain gear is REQUIRED to be owned for all our programs. This equipment is specifically needed for the type of diving that you will be embarking upon post certification. Please see the "Required equipment" tab for a full list of the gear you need to own. We offer a 10% discount to all of our students who purchase this equipment through us as well as our famed 60 day return policy that will ensure that you happy with everything that you buy. We appreciate your support of your local dive shop, which allows us to continue operations and offer the services that we do today****
