Discovery Diving is one of the best opportunities you will ever have to dive with a seal. It’s never a guarantee, but it’s very uncommon for a charter to strike out completely. The Seals on these dives have been historically friendly and love chewing on fins or swimming by for a scratch. The dives themselves tend to be in roughly 30ft of water. You’re bound to see some incredible marine life – so bring a camera!
Don’t miss out on our yearly adrenaline packed shark cage diving trip! We’ll be heading out with Snappa Charters from Narragansett to about 20 miles off shore to hang out with sharks attracted by our chum. Most often sighted are blue sharks and makos. But other visitors sometimes show up including basking sharks, dolphins, tuna and whales! This year’s charter will be on Friday, June 28th. Shark diving is a full day charter, from 7am-5pm.
Make sure to sign up for our Shark Ecology specialty too so you can learn more about the amazing sharks you’re going to see. The class is available Wednesday May 8th or Wednesday June 12th.
By signing up, you’ll officially have booked yourself on the boat! Below are a few important things to remember:Discovery dives leave from Cape Ann Marina, “J” DockFor Isles of Shoals charters:Please plan to be at the dock, ready to board at 7am. will be leaving at 7:30am sharp! The trek out and back may be rough, if you get seasick easily, we recommend bringing sea bands or seasick medicine to combat the symptoms. For Salvages charters: Load time will be regular AM or PM departure time for each boat.IF YOU REALIZE YOU CANNOT MAKE THE DIVE: Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for the charters. If you require rental gear make sure to rent the gear as far in advance as possible (at least 2 weeks). If you are new to our shop or unsure of your wetsuit size, please take the time to come into our shop and try the gear on.
