The Brookline town pool is currently our primary confined water training location. This is one of the longest active swimming facilities in the country but boast some fantastic feature for dive training that most other pools do not have. There are actually 3 pools available depending on the training that needs to be performed. There is a shallow pool, 4′ max, that is slightly warmer than the other pools that we use for kids programs. The primary pool is a large lap pool that runs from 4′ – 6′ deep and accommodates most of of training and skill development. There is also a deep well that is 12′ deep where we can simulate deeper water for buoyancy and ascent practice. Though parking is plentiful it can occasionally be challenging but the pool is a short walk from the Green line Brookline Hills T Stop.
There is free on street parking along Tappan street that is usually available during our pool hours though can be challenging. Please do not park on the street along the right side of the road. While most people who park here get away without a tow or ticket it is technically not allowed in most places at most times. There is also a small lot on the right by the T stop further down past the pool that we can park in during evening pool hours.
