In my entire diving career, I’ve only dived a handful of dives in warm ocean water. I was “raised” in the Florida caves, did my ITC in a surprisingly cold lake in Miami, instructed briefly in southern Portugal (where the water is just like Boston), then moved to Boston. Since when, aside from a few trips to North Carolina, all my diving has been cold, cave, or both. I love technical diving, especially that which involves an overhead; actual or virtual. I enjoy the comprehensive planning, precision of execution, and pride of knowing I’ve gone where few people can. I dive single tanks, back mounted doubles, side mounted doubles, and rebreathers; whatever gear is appropriate for the dive at hand. Diving is my life. When I’m not instructing or diving for fun, I’m operating my business, Aquatic Vision, LLC, which uses divers and equipment to remove aquatic invasive species. I aspire to one day explore a virgin cave or shipwreck and go where no one has before.
