About The Diving:
North Carolina is home to some amazing wreck diving. Each wreck has a tale to tell - some where sunk as artificial reefs while others fell fate to more grim circumstances. One of the most notable is the German U-boat that rests at 100ft - ask any of the crew members on the boat to learn it's history! The wrecks are also home to an incredibly diverse ecosystem with the diver-friendly sand tiger sharks at the top of the food chain. Schools of sand tiger sharks have been known to hang around many of the wrecks and will get remarkably close to the divers (they love posing for photos!). Schools of bait fish, rays, and corals are also common sights and just add to the wreck-tacular wonderland. The water temps at the end of May are a balmy 65-75 degrees and visibility ranges from 30-70ft so no drysuit necessary!
