East Coast Divers is looking for part time interns who are enthusiastic ambassadors for diving and excited to learn about working in the dive industry as part of a dive store team and becoming a dive professional.  Interns can participate as little as a 5 a week to as much as a few days a week.

This is a NON-PAID internship. Interns will train in a dive center environment in exchange for courses, rental gear & diving opportunities.

Requirements:

• Must be entry level open water certified.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Willing to commit 5 + hours per week over a one semester/6 month period.

Intern program benefits include:

• Access to recreational scuba and freediving courses through the dive guide level for the cost of just training materials
• Use of rental gear free or at steeply discounted pricing (must own mask, fins, snorkel)
• Capability to start as an open water diver and become a dive pro in 12 months.
• Can qualify for high school or college credit. (student is responsible for setting up credit with their school)
• Learning new skills including: tank filling, minor gear repairs,
  using a Point of Sales program, customer service skills and sales floor techniques
• Meeting other local divers by helping to plan and participating in local diving events
