Mermaiding or mermaid swimming is fun way to embrace your inner mermaid and to learn how to swim and move like a mermaid, whilst wearing an actual mermaid tail! In this one session class, kids 7-13 will get to wear a mermaid tail in the pool and learn how to use it.
Mermaid tails are made of soft, stretchy fabric worn up to the waist and feel like a second skin. The monofin at the tail’s end helps propel ourselves through the water.
In this 1.25 hour session students will learn how to put on the mermaid tail, how to get into the water with a tail on, safety techniques while wearing a tail, how to effectively kick with a mermaid tail on, and have time to free play and practice their new skills.
Students must be comfortable in the water and able to swim (any stroke) 25 yards.
Mermaid sessions are held at the Atkinson Pool, 40 Fairbank Circle, Sudbury, MA
