“Condition of shipped returns” policy overview

Buyers may be liable for loss in value if an item is returned in a different condition from which it was received or if it is not packaged securely to prevent damage in shipment. If an item is returned, used, or damaged, ECD might deduct the amount of loss from the buyer’s refund / credit.

Rentals →

If you decide to cancel reserved rental gear, you must do so at least 2 days before the set pickup date to receive a refund. If you wish to cancel rental gear with less than 48-hour notice you will be liable for the full rental cost. Scheduled rentals can be rescheduled at no fee. You will only be able to reschedule a rental once before forfeiting the rental fee.

Equipment Service →

Equipment service is not eligible for refunds once the service is rendered.

Equipment in for service that is not serviceable is eligible for a credit.

Travel →

Any payment made towards any East Coast Divers travel event, whether a deposit or full payment, is non-refundable. Payments may be transferred to someone who is not already signed up for the trip without penalty if all due payments have been made, excluding any non-transferable payments already made to vendors or change fees. To guarantee the payment transfer, the information for the traveler filling the vacated spot must be presented at the time of cancellation. Reservations not paid in full 60 days before the trip start date will be forfeited, and the space will be opened up for booking by other travelers. Travelers are strongly encouraged to purchase “cancel for any reason” travel insurance.

Training →

All ECD courses are non-refundable after signing up. Once you have signed up for a course, we reserve a spot in that course for you and exclude others from joining the course. Because we have limited space in each course, we cannot issue refunds for training cancellations.

If a student cannot attend a course they signed up for 15 days or more before the course start date, we can offer a one-time complimentary reschedule of the course. If a student would like to reschedule 8-14 days before the start date, the course can be rescheduled with a fee due upon rescheduling of 25% of the course cost. If a student would like to reschedule seven or fewer days before the course starts date, the reschedule fee is 50% of the course cost. Course credits are valid for up to 24 months after the initial course start date, and a course can only be rescheduled once.

The only exception to this rule is if you determine you cannot participate in the particular course due to a medical reason. All medical-based course cancellation requests must be in writing and accompanied by a medical form signed by a physician.

Materials are non-refundable or transferable after registration.

Missed sessions must be rescheduled with the training director for a fee based on availability.
