Something has gone wrong at the underwater research station, and we’re sending in dive teams to figure out what happened.
For the second Under Pressure Lab, we’re turning the pool into an underwater escape-room-style challenge. Your team will need to work its way through a series of underwater puzzles, recover information and equipment, and ultimately figure out the emergency code needed to complete your mission.
You’ll need to communicate underwater, solve problems as a team, pay attention to the details around you, and put your dive skills to work in some unusual ways. And because apparently solving puzzles underwater wasn’t complicated enough, the clock will be running.
Teams will be competing for the fastest overall time, with time penalties added for hints along the way.
No escape-room experience or advanced dive training is required. Just bring your scuba skills, some problem-solving ability, and teammates who won’t blame you when the answer was right in front of you the entire time.
The challenge is designed for teams of 3–4 divers.
You don’t need to come with a team. Individuals and couples are welcome and will be matched with other participants. If you already have your crew, book 3–4 spots together to participate as a pre-formed team.
Teams will enter the challenge at staggered start times and have approximately 40 minutes to complete their mission.
Tanks and weights are included.
Bring your mask, fins, and other personal dive gear. If needed, BCD and regulator rental can be added for $15 when you register.

This event is for certified scuba divers of any age. You don’t need to be an engineer, a STEM expert, or particularly good at building things. In fact, we’re pretty sure questionable engineering decisions will be part of the entertainment.
Come with a team or come on your own. Either way, be ready to build, problem-solve, get a little competitive, and see what happens when scuba divers are given construction materials underwater.
Divers must have been diving within the past 2 years to particpate.
