What it is. A wide, soft neoprene cover that slips over your mask’s silicone strap, or replaces it, with a Velcro adjustment.

Why divers want it. Silicone straps pull hair, slide around on a hood, and are fiddly to adjust with gloves. The neoprene strap sits flat, doesn’t grab hair, grips a hood properly, and is easy to get on and off. It also floats, so a dropped mask is easier to spot. They come in colours, which helps when six identical black masks are sitting in the rinse tank.

Good to know. Slip-on covers fit any mask; replacement straps need the buckle type to match. If your mask is coming in with the gear we’ll fit it; otherwise tell us the mask model and we’ll send the right one.

What we’ll ask you. Colour, and your mask model if the mask isn’t in the box.

Interested? Tick it on the equipment service request when you send your gear in. Nothing on that list is added to your estimate; we confirm the details and the price with you by email before anything is fitted or charged. Questions: service@ecdivers.com or 617-277-2216.
