Do you want to increase your buoyancy control, minimize your breathing gas consumption, or move effortlessly above the ocean floor? The SSI Perfect Buoyancy program teaches you the skills and techniques needed to maximize your dive experience, increase your comfort in the water, and get the most from your equipment. The course focuses on the knowledge and skills needed to improve your diving position (trim) and buoyancy control, which should help you safely minimize breathing gas consumption. The ECD Perfect Buoyancy Course will take you through refined proper weighting procedures, our ECD-specific instincts and habits, equipment considerations, trim, proper breathing techniques, and the disadvantages of being over-weighted. Not to mention the in-water actions and form that lead to dead-on accurate buoyancy control that can be applied during all phases of a dive.
Why learn perfect buoyancy?
Buoyancy instruction during may diver certification programs is often taught as an individual skill, like regulator recoveries or mask clears are. At East Coast Divers, we believe buoyancy control is the foundation for comfortable and safe diving which is why all skill work in our programs is taught while students maintain neutral buoyancy. This level of training helps our students excel at diving as soon as they hit the open water and prepares them to handle challenging situations and advanced training. The ECD Perfect Buoyancy program will help you improve your diving comfort no matter what your level of experience. It is perfect for those who feel like they are just working too hard underwater or those who feel like their weight system is just too heavy but mastering buoyancy as an ability is paramount for divers interested in wreck or cave diving, underwater photography or videography, technical diving.
Consisting of 1 workshop session in the classroom, 1 session at the pool, and an optional free follow up play session, you’ll be surprised how much more control you have while diving.
